Fly Fishing Paradise
Located in a national park and indigenous territory, where virgin Amazon jungle meets Andean mountains, Tsimane is a privileged place where freshwater fishing reaches its pinnacle. Its incredible landscape features clear rivers and streams running through the jungle and mountains.

FISHING PROGRAM
Ideal for wading and sight casting, these wild rivers are inhabited by some of the most powerful fish that can be faced with a fly rod. Tsimane's waters boast two species of Dorado up to 40 pounds, Pirapitinga (Amazon Pac) of up to 25 pounds, and Yatorana, pound by pound, one of the strongest freshwater species. Those anglers familiar with setting the hook like in tarpon fishing will do well fishing dorado.

  • Seven nights accommodation at lodge

International airfare, airport arrival & departure tax, Indian tax and National Park fee - $670, meals and beverages at Los Tajibos Hotel, fly fishing leaders, tips, gifts or other items of a personal nature.

GETTING THERE
Fly to Santa Cruz, Bolivia. Upon arrival, you will be met and transferred to a 5-Star Santa Cruz hotel where you will overnight. The next morning, you will be transferred to the aiport for your flight to lodge N1.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Tsimane Lodges consists of Tsimane Pluma Lodge package and The Tsimane Secure and Agua Negra Lodge package.

The Tsimane Pluma Lodge is a cabin based on South African safari camps. Best put the are remote and luxurious at the same time. The Pluma Lodges feature four log cabins. Pluma Lodge can accommodate up to 8 anglers.

The Tsimane Secure and Agua Negra Lodge (more rustic option than the Pluma Lodge) each feature four double cabins and both lodges offer an out-camp. Agua Negra's out-camp is new and is located on an unspoiled virgin area on its headwater. These two out-camps can accommodate up to 4 anglers.

All lodges have guest cabins are spacious with private bathrooms and hot water. Each cabin includes an electric light, satellite telephone and internet. Each angler will have their own cabin. (Electric power is available from 6:00AM - 10:00AM and from 5:00PM - 12:00AM 220-volts.) Laundry service provided each day.

MEALS
The meals will be international cuisine, mainly Argentinean.

Itinerary for Tsimane Pluma Lodge
Day 1: Arrive to Santa Cruz. Overnight 5-Star hotel.
Day 2: Santa Cruz to Tsimane Pluma Lodge. Travel by plane (1 1/2 hour). Fish 1/2 day. Overnight.
Day 3 to 8: Fishing at Pluma lodge. Overnight.
Day 9: Flight to Santa Cruz. Overnight Los Tajibas 5-Star Hotel.
Day 10: Transfer back to airport for international flight home.

Itinerary for Tsimane Secure and Agua Negra Lodges
Day 1: Arrive to Santa Cruz. Overnight 5-Star hotel.
Day 2: Santa Cruz to Tsimane N1 Lodge. Travel by plane (1 1/2 hour). Fish 1/2 day. Overnight.
Day 3 to 4: Fishing at N1 lodge. Overnight.
Day 5: Transfer to N2 Lodge. Travel by plane and boat. Overnight N2 lodge.
Day 6-8: Fishing at N2 lodge. Overnight.
Day 9: Flight to Santa Cruz. Overnight Los Tajibas 5-Star Hotel.
Day 10: Transfer back to airport for international flight home.

ENTRY
A valid passport with at least six months validity is required for U.S. citizens, as well as a valid Bolivian tourist visa. Passengers assume all responsibility for obtaining valid passports and visas. Visa application forms may be available through FishQuest! or the country's consulate. Visas can also be purchased upon entry.

HEALTH
Malaria tablets recommended. Be sure to bring sunscreen and insect repellent. Drink plenty of bottled water to keep yourself hydrated. Note: health precautions are offered here as an informational service only. See your doctor or health clinic.

A lot of this trip is walking and wading. The walking is considerable. With the added issue of hot weather, a client should decided if they are able to do a trip of this kind before booking.

LANGUAGES
The official language in Bolivia is Spanish. Learning a few key words in the host country's language will prove beneficial and your efforts to communicate will be appreciated.

TRIP INSURANCE
We recommend you purchase trip cancellation insurance to cover any losses should you have to cancel to due to unforeseen illness or other emergency. Certain restrictions do apply. Premium rates are typically about $65 per $1,000 of coverage, and usually include some benefits for lost baggage, trip interruption, and emergency evacuation. Forms for Travel Assure may be obtained by calling our office.

PACKING
Our recommended packing list and other briefing materials will be furnished on receipt of your trip deposit and reservation form.
