Our Himalayan Mahseer Trail takes intrepid anglers on a trip through the history and culture of India before landing them in the virtually untouched waters of the Himalayan Mountains. Angler will get to fish the incredibly powerful Mahseer, member of the carp family, both inside and surrounding the famous Jim Corbett Tiger Reserve. (Extra days of game-viewing inside the reserve can also be arranged.)
After landing in New Delhi, anglers are transferred to a local bed and breakfast to relax after their long flight. The next day they are taken on a city tour recalling the days when India was the Jewel in the Crown of the British Empire.
The next day anglers are escorted on a train (first class accommodation) to the tiger reserve, fishing a couple of days and staying in beautiful river front cottages. Then itís on to the Himalayan Outback Camp.
Here clients will have the chance to sight cast and fish both up and down stream into fast moving water with rapids, runs, and deep pools. Evenings are spent around the bonfire with appetizers and then in the dining thatch enjoying traditional Tandoori Indian dinners.
Few fishing trips offer this combination of wildlife, open wilderness and incredible fishing opportunities, especially spiced with such history and culture.
